Express Rail from the Bangkok Airport

Your traveling is trouble-free with the rapid transit system that the State Railway of Thailand has offered to its passengers. You are offered with two options of travelling to and fro from the Suvarnabhumi Airport with the SA Express line and the SA City line train routes. The City line would be the train that travels from the Suvarnabhumi Airport to Phaya Thai Station while stopping at six stations within the journey such as Rarchaprop, Makkasan, Ramkham haeng, Hua Mark, Ban Thab Chang and Lat Krabang where the fare ranges from 15baht up to 45 baht. This line is scheduled to be operated by five trains that include three cars which travel 28.6km to reach the final terminal.

The Suvarnabhumi Express line begins at Makkasan Station which is known as the Bangkok City Air Terminal where a flat fare of 150 baht is charged from the passenger. The express line is a non stop train that takes only fifteen minutes to reach the final destination which is the Suvaranabhumi station. This is an underground subway which is built under the Airport where the passengers have the access to the airport through the elevator, escalator and ramp.

The Makkasan station provides the convenience of loading the baggage from the station where they will be transferred to the relevant airline. This station also supply other services such as flight information, a car park with the capacity of 300 cars, 100 motor cycles and a bus parking are area as well. There are four trains operating on this line where three passenger cars that allow 170 passengers to travel comfortably and seated until departing from the train.

The tickets can be purchased through automatic token dispensers located in airport link stations, where the fare for a single to five passengers would be calculated automatically and submitted a printed receipt along with token as the gate pass which can be used for a single trip where the passenger will be allowed to enter the platform. A prepaid pass is also used to travel in the airport railway link where the value starts form 50 baht until 1,000 baht and would be able to use it until the pre paid amount finishes.

This convenient system is designed according to international standards where all passengers are able to experience a memorable journey on the Suvarnabhumi Airport Rail Link.
